Oh dear, the far right are kicking off again. In Belfast Northern Ireland, they've firebombed a bus, several cars, and went door to door, checking the colour of the occupants before fire bombing their homes.
Weirdly, there was another Irish riot this time last year, too, and one before that in July 2025 too. It's becoming a tradition.
Most people are blaming Elon Musk for whipping up tensions, and quite rightly so.
Policing social media is near impossible. So why aren't we using AI to go through everyone's accounts to spot people promoting right-wing agendas so we can arrest them before they do anything or encourage others?
I think we need a massive AI trawl of all social media accounts, then send the poice/army to go kick down some doors.
What if it is the far left that should be arrested en masse for their posts? Who gets to pick and who loses their rights?
This all started with a near beheading. I find it interesting that the massive number of horrendous rapes didn’t trigger it but the severe cutting of a 40 year old guy did. The Unionists are defending themselves as the government won’t do it. The government is the root of the problem more than anything. They aren’t protecting the people and quite the opposite is actually happening. I am disappointed in the IRA sitting this one out so far. Falls Road is far too quiet.
The rapes and murders are intolerable for many now. The government doesn’t care. The Left doesn’t care about it. The Center is bewildered as to what to do. The government can’t hide it anymore which is why there is hate for X and Musk. That is what they care about, the fact that people know and are upset. They aren’t mad about the beheadings and rapes of even babies, they are mad about people knowing about it. These are terrible leaders and terrible people who will be rightfully reviled in history.
We already have AI systems policing social media, with mixed results.
YouTube channels that are demonetized and silenced for reasons not consistent with policy enforcement in the past and a repeals process that lasts 5 minutes because a bot told you “no, you can’t convince me rule breaker” instead of getting a human. There are instances of people covering music with their instruments and getting copyright flagged by the big music corporation wanting to hijack the monetization the creator is supposed to be receiving. Even movie companies now and then will lead to demonetization if the person giving commentary uses a small clip with no hope of overturning the decision because of AI.
Social Media sites removing posts because it had “sexual content” or “explicit content”, even for the slightest of infractions. TikTok banned a lot of people for their posts when it was simple guy in front of camera giving commentary which got perceived as sexual or abuse because people spammed the report button so, many times (apparently) and people still haven’t gotten their channels reinstated after the mistake either.
Discord lost millions of user IDs under their age verification system (adding to the shit storm policing social media is already at this point in time).
Now, AI has led to misuse of people’s personal data out in public too with cops believing suspects are 100% guilty before proven innocent which led to citizens getting large cash payouts from the incompetence of the law enforcement utilizing these AI systems in the real world. There are even instances of cops tracking and stalking exes for their own nefarious purposes when they’re supposed to be upholding the law, protect and serve. These systems should not be around, whether in digital form or reality.
I believe the real baddies do not use open net to communicate. That rules out open social media. Any secret messages must use encryption locally before posting.
It will be very difficult to crack secure encryption if used correctly.
People rioted and destroyed authority systems few thousands years ago without social media and internet. System needs to change otherwise such riots and civil disobedience will repeat again and again until civil war
Funny how masked men aren't going door to door looking for families with school aged children after that teen stabbed a bunch of people in Manchester the other day, isn't it? It's almost as if they don't really care about knife attacks, unless they can use them as an excuse to terrorise innocent brown people.
As to policing social media, the story goes that a social media platform tried to use the same tools they used against Jihadi propaganda for right-wing extremism, but it caught up too many Republican elected officials.
I wonder who could be behind all of this chaos.

It’s “far right” to expect law enforcement to mitigate crimes by immigrants the same as they mitigate crimes by natural citizens? 😂😂😂 Those people are pissed! Were you mad when BLM was rioting, attacking white people, and burning cars and businesses? Are you mad that illegal immigrants in the US are attacking everyone who disagrees with open borders, fire bombing cars and businesses? Or do you understand because they are mad? Or are you okay with violence as long as you agree with the motivation? I’m actually pleasantly surprised that some of the news outlets are calling them “protesters”. 😂😂😂 They’re definitely rioting, but what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, i guess.
Depends if we prefer managing causes & consequences, or just getting lazy and proceed with consequences only?
To me, AI policing is about moral, societal and intellectual laziness. Meanwhile causes remain, because inciting hatred only works on people sensitive to that. The overwhelming majority of people, luckily, will disarm this obvious trap laid by an influencer. Because they are trained for this. So I believe it's better to deal with the causes, to find ways to make this majority even more overwhelming, even more shielded against blatant traps. Against instrumentalization, exploit of people's vulnerabilities.
But it's not easy nor simple, as the level of combined collective efforts required to achieve that permanent goal is massive.
What is happening is absolutely awful, but if the government was doing its job, anger wouldn't reach such a boiling point and people wouldn't resort to mob violence.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the circumstances that are causing the violence aren't being deliberately engineered in order to achieve nefarious goals such as restrictions on liberty. "Problem: reaction: solution."
I am opposed to monitoring everyone's correspondence and Minority Report-style policing. AI is a curse. It is used to block and censor legitimate information that doesn't correspond with the government approved narrative. It is autocracy with robots taking over and stomping on free speech with impunity and without any means of recourse.
On the one hand, social media cultivates extremist views. On the other hand, it trains people to express their views by sitting on their fat arses typing nonsense that nobody of any significance will ever care about.
To roughly paraphrase The Bard, it may increase the desire for violence but it decreases the performance.
People are unhappy. They have a fair basis to be unhappy. A couple of nights of isolated wanton violence is pretty small beer in historical context.

Nobody should want an AI to have the power to tell a human what is and is not appropriate.
So you see the riot and your first response is to suppress the riot instead of looking at the cause and maybe working at that? That's a terrible approach. Cause that creates a pressure cooker effect. If you suppress anger and fear that leads to riots, it will get stronger till it explodes in your face. Supression is not the solution here.
