This is stupid. There's nothing on Mars worth exploring, and even if there was, a 7 man crew would have near-zero chance of finding it even in one entir4e lifetime, much less a 6 months mission or whatever they end up doing. It makes no damned sense whatsoever.

Because the value of materials is limited, and it costs $20,000 per pound payload to put stuff in LEO, much less fly to mars. There is nothing there to pay for the cost of the missions.

No. Electronic computers were invented to solve firing tables for artillery in WW2.

For the past 40 years, computers have been fueled by the video games industry.

NASA uses out-dated computer tech even on the most recent missions, because they don't trust the more advanced stuff. NOAA uses a 64 core processor to run the GFS computer weather model. It's now possible to buy a 20-core computer for 2400 dollars, because the video games industry drives computing, not "practical use".
