Cubans were granted the right to remain in the country if they entered illegally, as long as they set foot in American soil. The state history requirement in my state was to pass a citizenship test, or equivalent. So, everyone who graduated high school here could pass one.
His parents were legal immigrants and had citizenship before he was born. He has legal and correct birthright citizenship.
