Why do so many people now use “woman” as the plural instead of “women”?

Yesterday, I saw a video of an English teacher in her 40's who CONSISTANTLY said, "WOMAN" every time she was talking about more than one woman and I hear this CONSTANTLY, the past year or two!!! An English teacher of that age should know better!! Who the fuck is teaching everyone that "woman" is plural instead of singular?

I guess English is not their first language and perhaps they don't know that women is plural for woman.

Yes, it is! Americans do it most often but, I've just heard an Australian do it at least twice.
They SHOULD know! They're often full grown adults!

This is an English TEACHER! She was born in the early `80's. she says so later in the video. The only part I was interested in was the third section where she talks about how people use "like" way too much so, after the first part, which I was partially interested in, I skipped to the "like" section so, I have no idea how many times she says, "woman" instead of, "women" but I caught her doing it at least 3 times in the parts I watched. The first one happens at 1:21 into the video! She says, "Men and woman". Later, she says something like, "... if woman are walking down the street...".
