Regardless of their truthfulness. And i have uncovered a good amount of unusual truths. The reason of obsessing with them in the first place has been bottled up rebellion against my brother, who, like my dad, tortured a variety of animals in creative ways and let them die a slow agonizing death. Except he had even less responsibility to worry about than adults. You can guess how i was treated by same people. And till this day i realized my worldviews are a response to my nervous system expecting things to keep happening. It is necessary to remember the buried, tell yourself it no longer exists, and as proof of the threat being gone even publish it. Yes, believe or not, the steps of resurfacing and denouncing it is necessary. Simply "forget and move on" keeps your nervous system under chronic stress, your body is prepared to deal with it at all times. And the embarrassment when people raise their eyebrows is a symbol of the newfound freedom. Except i still won't say this in real life and i still use VPN here.
Do you agree with the idea that most conspiracy theory obsessions are displaced rebellion from early life?

Conspiracy theorist is just a label to silence people like racist or fascist. It has nothing to do with the person who has the ideas to begin with, it has to do with the fear of the person hearing the ideas and labling the person with ideas in an attempt to censor them.
It tells you everything you need to know about the person using the phase...
Like I said, a lot of what is uncovered is true. But the reason why we are drawn to it is usually rooted in unprocessed early life cruelty.
Nope. People that look for truth aren't doing that because they have unprocessed early life cruelty. People with "unprocessed early life cruelty" are more likely to want to belong to a group and get drawn in by collectivism. If you family was unable to protect you, then you will look for an alternative family... That's where street gangs, cults, socialism, etc. step in to to fill the vacuum. In order to belong to the "family" you have to adopt group think, which is typically opposite of people that bring truth forward and get censored. If what you are saying is already widely accepted by the group, then there is no need to label you as a "conspiracy theorist" and censor what you are saying.
