When people are considered low social status/unpopular, do you usually think it's a good reason for it?

I make my own decisions on people, so I wouldn't be swayed by someone's comments, or their unpopularity, and I try to treat people fairly.

I think someone can be unpopular for a thousand different reasons, and perhaps it could be they are just different in some way, and therefore treated as an outsider.

Or new people may not be welcome in a group or area, and a person is given a bad reputation, hoping they will go away.

But generally people want to think the worse of people, and want to elevate their own social status, by giving people a bad name.

For the most part obviously yes , and usually it's a culmination of education , background, social skills , so it's difficult to move up , plus often they don't want to , the low of the low is all they know.

Half of it is them, half is other people. What all popular people generally have in common is they're good at making other people feel seen, wanted, needed. But just being this will not matter if everyone you interact with are self absorbed. After a while being around a core of people will automatically attract other people. In the words of the band Soul Asylum, "nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd".

Let's them enjoy their own lives with less expensive hobbies.
They may even become better artists types for it 🧠 🎨 🎭
