Do you generally support or oppose the DSA’s feminism and reform platform?

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has proposed a platform that includes a wide range of social, economic, and governmental reforms.

Among its proposals are replacing the Supreme Court with a judiciary chosen by Congress, expanding the House of Representatives, implementing wealth taxes, supporting reparations, reducing or restructuring the Department of Defense, and advancing its “Feminism for All” platform.

According to the DSA’s published platform, “Feminism for All” supports queer liberation, abortion access, gender expression and transition, expanded protections against sex discrimination, support for care work, and policies affecting childbirth, child-raising, marriage, divorce, and family life.

This poll is asking about the overall direction of these proposals rather than any single policy in isolation.

Feminism is a supremacy movement. It always has been. No prominent feminist or feminist organization has fought to advance men’s rights and privileges so that they’re equal to women’s. No prominent feminist or feminist organization has ever fought for women’s accountability, responsibilities and sacrifices are equal to men’s.
Feminism is and always has been about cherry picking the best parts and leaving the sacrifices and heavy lifting to men. That’s not equality by any stretch of the imagination.
Anyone who supports such practices should be confined to gulag as far as i’m concerned.

Their website clearly demonstrates how they try to appeal to the most naive and outright unintelligent among us with claims of a perfect world if they are in power. It's a joke, but a dangerous one.

I support everything you mentioned except the part about feminism. Feminism is a way of discriminating against men, and I am a man, and I do not agree with it.

@msc545 The problem is that the DSA does not present “Feminism for All” as a separate, optional add-on. It is part of the same broader platform you said you otherwise support.

You can personally disagree with that section, but supporting the organization’s overall agenda still helps advance the candidates, institutions, and political power needed to implement the entire platform—including the feminism policies you oppose.

So the real question is whether the parts you support are important enough for you to empower an organization that will also pursue the parts you reject. You cannot assume your vote will count only for your preferred sections of its agenda.

Although I support all of their positions except the ones regarding feminism, the fact that they've conflated all of these things with each other in a way that does not allow a separation of support annoys me enough that I'm not going to support anything they're doing.
