1 moYes, I remember Bill. Overall, I liked him as President, he did some good thigs, including steps to increase border security. His wife Hilary, not so much.
Sure, some people will say he was a bad man for his affair with Monica Lewinski, and he was impeached for lying to Congress about it, but like every other President who was impeached, he was found not guilty in the Senate.
I tend to consider official actions by a politician more than what they do in their personal lives, acknowledging that many of the great leaders in history were not nice people.. Yes, I know not everyone thinks that way.

Clinton probably should have been convicted, it was a bad precedent that led to Trump getting away with far worse, twice. It would also have given Gore a little while as president to show he could do the job. All he needed was about 501 more votes to be elected in 2000, and 9/11 might even have been avoided (like electing anyone but Trump would have kept the government prepared for a pandemic).

@goaded Clinton should have been convicted of what? Monica Lewinsky was 22 years of age. She's a big girl. Perhaps he used his power of position upon her? Whatever, I see many Hollywood relationships with far bigger age gaps. I see it in my personal life too. Like what's a woman doing with someone that could easily be her dad. None of my business really. Apparently, he jizz stained a dress of hers and used a cigar on her. How does that equal conviction?

m 1 moAs someone not from the USA, I remember Clinton as just another US prez in the newspapers.
Almost bland.
Almost. Up until Lewinsky's scandal, and that made me remember Clinton for a life time. I was 15yo and I think it made me look at USA differently, as it was contradicting the idea of a puritan USA I had in mind lol

1 moBorn in 1983 I really don't know much about him other than what we all know about his playboy demeaner and the Monika thing which really was a big disgrace to the office itself, however not anywhere near as bad as the cock sucking dishonesty going on in that office for the last two years.

1 moYup. Bill Clinton was a decent enough executive administrator but he managed to disgrace the Oval Office by getting a blowjob from a young White House intern at work. So technically sound and morally bankrupt. Like most who seek power.

@katiesmuff,
If tRump has done anything of value in office it is revealing just how much corruption there is and how easily all of our controls and checks and balances can be circumvented when the House, Senate, and courts have all been violated. The US is weak, a lot weaker than our delusions would have us believe.

1 moYes I am old enough :)
It was a time when ''Americans'' - as citizens - were still self sufficient enough to feel no need to polarize themselves in only two groups of sheep.
A ''President'' back then was not a ''golden cow'', but just one quite important person. Not less - not more.

1 moI don't remember much about him as President, except for the whole Monika thing, but I do remember that when he was first running against George Bush Sr, I was still a young naive Republican, I hoped Bush would win, and I thought that Clinton was an obvious sleazebag just from the way he talked (not his words--his voice), and I was amazed that everybody else couldn't obviously and immediately see that too.

No more than Bush 1, Bush 2, Trump. Trump is - 75,000 manufacturing jobs right now. It will be 150,000 to 200,000 down by end of term.
- 1 mo
Nope , we have Trump telling you that , but no proof. All I see is job losses. People can't replace job lost with better or equal job. people working 3 jobs , still can't break even. Credit cards maxed. 33% increase with food prices with Trump.

Again instead of just running your mouth show us some of these great feats this demented pedophile as accomplished. Day after day nothing but puke with no substance coming from your retarded mouth. One day maybe you will get off your knee's and wake up.

Major new factory projects are opening across the United States, led by investments in semiconductors, electric vehicles, and pharmaceuticals such as the
TSMC Arizona Fabs, Micron Megafab in New York, and Toyota Battery Manufacturing NC. - 1 mo
Major! About how many new jobs has these new innovation's provided for US workers. Two chip manufacturer's and a battery manufacturing plant, Where are the big manufacturing companies such as home goods, furniture, kitchen equipment stoves, ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers etc. These three big investments where do you suspect the profits from their products will go? I can't believe you were ever smart enough to be a history teacher in elementary school let alone university level.
- 1 mo
@katiesmuff These items are still being made in the USA. All my appliances are made in USA and every piece of furniture in my house ia also made here. Tariffs on foreign made stuff will make the sales of American made homegoods more popular. These things do not happen overnight. President Trump has set the stage for an booming economy.
- 1 mo
Apparently you have a kitchen with 50 year old appliances as there hasn't been a refrigerator or stove/oven and dishwasher manufactured in the US for many many years.
YOU DUMB ARROGANT SOB TARIFFS ARE PAID BY US CITIZENS AS THEY BUY THESE INFLATED PRICED ITEMS TO COVER THE TARIFF COST.

@katiesmuff I just bought a new washer last year. Speed Queen made in USA.

We weren’t out of debt, but the federal budget was balanced, and for the duration of is second term. little Bush screwed that all up less than a year into his first term. That’s when i realized that republicans are not the “party of fiscal responsibility” that they claimed.
