In reality, Palestinians are genetically closer to the ancient Israelite samples that Israelis claim as their ancestors. This is because Jews did not reproduce in isolation to the extent many people assume; over the centuries, they mixed with Latins, Germanic peoples, and to some extent Slavs. As a result, only about half of their ancestry is Levantine. The evidence for this comes from genetics—the science that, in my view, carries more weight than the Torah.

The most ironic part is that, according to traditional Jewish belief, Samaritans are not considered "true Israelites" because they supposedly mixed with foreign peoples settled by the Assyrian Empire. Yet genetic evidence indicates that the Samaritans are among the best-preserved descendants of the ancient Israelites.

Most Judeans remained in the region that now encompasses Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Iran and lived in peace and harmony. Some continued to practice their Hebrew faith. Over time, some converted to Christianity. And many later converted to Islam. But they didn't change ethnicity. Many continued to speak Aramaic, the original language of much of the region. Over time, most learned Arabic.. Like Latin, Hebrew died out as a spoken language and was only used for liturgy.

Yes, jews and Arabs come from the Semitic lineage. Even the languages they speak are similar, essentially built on the same foundation. Both are actually Arab, the modern Arab who drives science and the economy is called an Israeli. It is a tragedy that people of the same roots have ended up hating and seeking to kill one another.
