Why do so many foreigners idealize the US, even enough to lie for a US-born baby?

I've been in several countries over the years but lived in Argentina for most of my childhood years. My parents are Argentinians but my birth certificate says Miami, FL USA at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

My parents won't tell me the whole story of how that came to be. They kept it short that they lied about the purpose of traveling, overstayed their visas and kept living in FL until I was 4 years old.

By definition I would literally be their anchor child. No doubt several states in the US have beautiful places and attractions but so do other countries too. Why that much love for the US by foreigners, to the point some do what my parents did? In their own words they wanted an American baby even if it means lying. So now I'm forever with the US passport even though I don't really care to live permanently in the US.
