WHY do you continually ask WHY Trump LIES? He's a pathological liar. Do you know what that means? Here, let me help:
Pathological lying is a chronic, compulsive pattern of habitual dishonesty where someone lies repeatedly without clear benefit or conscious intent, almost always portraying themselves favorably and/or believing their own fabrications. It is not a standalone diagnosis but is linked to underlying mental health conditions.
In Trump's case, that underlying condition would be Narcissistic Personality Disorder, compounded now by his frontal lobe disease and ever increasing dementia.
Understand one thing that will help you without having to ask why; Trump can not or will not, it doesn't matter, distinguish between truth and lies. If he's saying a thing, rest assured it's a lie, right up until he finally says "I'm guilty" instead of pleading the fifth.
We already know he's suffering significant cognitive decline. He also said the war was over in March and repeated it every day since. He's become more and more disconnected from reality. He can tell the most outrageous lies and his MAGA lemmings will believe every word in spite of the obvious.

Trump has absolutely no problem claiming things that are really not his. This is called theft of intellectual property.
Because “largest tax cut” is a political slogan, not an accurate apples-to-apples comparison.
The fairest way to compare tax cuts enacted in different eras is by the revenue they reduce as a share of the economy, rather than by raw dollar totals. A trillion dollars today represents much less of the economy than it would have in 1981.
On that basis:
Reagan’s Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981: about 2.89% of GDP
Trump’s 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act: about 1.40% of GDP
Trump’s original 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act: about 0.69% of GDP
Thus, Reagan’s 1981 cut was roughly twice the size of Trump’s latest tax law relative to the economy. The Tax Foundation ranks the 2025 Trump law sixth among tax cuts since 1940, while Reagan’s remains first.
Trump can produce a very large number—around $5 trillion over ten years—by adding up nominal dollars and counting the extension of provisions that otherwise would have expired. But that comparison is inherently biased toward recent presidents because the economy, tax base, prices, and ten-year budget projections are now much larger.
There is also an accounting contradiction. Republicans treated the extension of the 2017 cuts as costing essentially nothing when they needed to pass the legislation, arguing that those cuts represented “current policy.” They then counted the same extensions as trillions of dollars in tax cuts when promoting the bill. As one budget expert put it, they cannot reasonably use both methods simultaneously.
So the basic answer is: Trump claims it because “largest ever” is characteristic promotional language, and because nominal ten-year dollar accounting can be arranged to create an enormous-looking figure. Reagan’s tax cut was nevertheless clearly larger when measured in the historically meaningful way.
I do hot even temember s tax cut when Reagan was president. I sure remember the ones we got when Trump was in office. Maybe because I am in a much higher tax brackett.
Reagan was president before I was born but I think I remember hearing Donald Trump say somewhere he gave the largest tax cut in Us history.
I googled search what he said and the results told me it was actually Ronald Reagan who gave the largest tax cut in US history
Plus Trump gave his tax cut to his equally crooked billionaire swindler buds !
He often exaggerates on purpose. He wants everything he says and does to the biggest, greatest thing ever. It is all bravado.
