Were physical fights between men more common in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s?

Apparently nowadays only a small number of people get into physical fights, but I saw that fights were way more common amongst men in 1980s, 1990s, 2000s all over the world. Is this true? If so how common were they?

I haven't seen much change in human behavior in my lifetime. Most rational adults avoid assault and battery charges. And the ones who don't tend to be the bottom tier of society. The ones who fail at life in general and die early.

Probably. Hard to say because i was young then and got into a lot of scraps. But that was all but over by high school.

I know school shootings were virtually unheard of when i was coming up. So it seems to me kids are much more sequestered. They still receive the same abuses through social media and whatnot. But they're not forced to deal with their problems as much face to face. And that manifests itself in very much an all or nothing way.
