Several single men that I have talked that were teens or adults back in those decades, told me how dating and hookups were much easier back then, before the internet. They said it was easier to get a girlfriend back then and how it was easier to get laid. Since the internet began, they said it caused a lot of women even in their own league to get delusional and picky with dating and hookups (online and offline). Then it got worse into the mid 2000s. Then speed up to 2021, many men say that social media have caused dating and hookups to be super difficult for non good looking guys.

I’m a good looking man… So I’m bias… What worked for me, may not of worked for others. That said I remember short guys and fat guys and curly headed pail gingers with faces filled with freckles getting laid... I just think people were more likely to come together and party back in the 90s. Things were more spontaneous and candid. We’d pick girls up everywhere and that was normal. So many people live on their phones and on the internet these days. We had the internet in the 90s, but it was a different animal. I agree that social media has warped people’s perception of reality and trained them to be more anti-social. Too much information lets people that overthink things go too far. They want to creep people’s social media, run background checks on them, categorize a person before they even know them. It’s weird behavior… In public people shut out the world with earphones, they are constantly playing on their phones rather than looking people in the eye and talking to them. There seems to be a lot more social anxiety in younger people and they don’t seem to know how to deal with people in general.

That’s a tough one. Anyone born in say 1995 or later is probably too fucked up from being raised by smart phones and social media. Women generally like men older than them. That leaves you a 3 year age span with some bleed over in behavior for any girls with younger siblings. Not good odds man... You just have to adapt to the bad behavior I guess...

Yes everything you said is spot on. a lot more single people in general and men which is sad. It's best to just move abroad as long it's not in the western world. Women are more receptive for long-term relationships in countries like the Philippines or south America. In the western world women are not very receptive and they Initiate most divorces rates or even relationships. I know all my uncles and older men are all married and happy. Today most guys I know are single and in their 30s.

I think it was easier "back in my day" but I think at least some part of it being easier is that we didn't have online dating. We barely had the internet as people have now and mobile phones in my youth and no social media beyond a budding MySpace which I never paid much attention to. So I had to make friends and I had to make acquaintances and I had to learn how to talk to strangers being in new cities all the time.

I never had that online thing as much of an option, you know, and I started off shy but I had to get over it... especially with my job which had me traveling to new places all the time. I'd be stuck alone in my apartments and hotels and I had to venture out and talk to people if I wanted to make friends. And I found my dates in the process of venturing out that way, and improving my social skills.

No, I don't agree. Free hookups have never been easier, but they are definitely easier today than they used to be due to the sexual revolution and the popularization of casual sex. Women are far, far more willing to have casual sex or a friends with benefits arrangement today than in the past.

I am talking about in America AND nearly all single average and ugly straight guys I know in person and online recently, that I have known for a long time, or have talked to in the past, agree it is super hard for them to get laid for free. I have talked to ugly guys and average guys that have been teens and adults in the 90s or before that and even though it was very hard for them to get laid for free back then too, they claim it was way easier for them back then. If you don't believe me, ok get a dating app and put my pic on it. Yes, I live in the US and I'm talking about average guys. Ugly guys are fucked unless they have money. But it has always been that way. For average guys today versus average guys of the past, it's much easier today to get laid. That is just a fact. If that hasn't been your experience then you are either ugly or you have personality issues, o both.
