If you don't so much was there ever a conspiracy theory you thought was true? If so which one and why?

I love conspiracy theories. They are generally funny as hell. But there are sometimes a few nuggets of truth or reality in there too.

For example. You've probably seen me rail about the 1% here. Do I believe it exists? yes. Do I believe it's some secret cabal with membership cards and a secret handshake where a chosen few meet at a secret clubhouse to direct the affairs of humanity in something that looks like an evil "shadow government"? No, LOL.

It may not be some conscious conspiracy but wealthy people share common interests and and the power of extreme wealth. I'm sure (I've seen it), they rub shoulders at social or business events. They share thoughts and opinions. And generally they want to hold onto their wealth and power and get more if possible. Not exactly a revelation, right? They may not be acting in a formally unified way when they fund campaigns to elect the people who will vote for tax breaks for billionaires, less government regulation, a dismantling of a social safety net, or favorable capital gains taxes, or the same tax favorability for carried interest. But the outcome is the same. Lot's of people with wealth and power dumping lots of money into buying government and corrupting our laws to tilt the scales in their favor. Do these people think they are evil geniuses? No, they desperately want to believe they are good human beings. But are they absolutely a plague on society? Yes they are.

The official explanations for the JFK and RFK assassinations and 911 are complete bullshit.

Weather modification and atmospheric spraying are real. People who are triggered by the term chemtrail are blind and ignorant.

Aluminum compounds are release in atmospheric spraying and those compounds are fire accelerants that contribute to massive forest fires.

Covid was planned, bioengineered in gain of function labs, and released into the public. The spread of hysteria was deliberate. Almost all deaths attributed to covid were in hospitals where effective care was banned and people were murdered with remdesivir. The nonsensical mandates were pre-planned to see how people would react. The jabs were designed to cause bodily harm.

I am eager to consider any and all so-called "conspiracy theories" in order to gather actual facts, not that I believe everything I hear. Some theories, after all, are nonsense and some are deliberately spread to create confusion and paralysis.
Hell, the most ridiculous conspiracy theories are those spread by government and mainstream media.

Many facts that were at one time mocked as being conspiracy theories have been proven to be true.

I don’t automatically believe conspiracy theories, but I also don’t automatically dismiss every single one lol. History has shown that sometimes things that sound crazy at first turn out to have at least some truth behind them. I’m more of a “show me the evidence and I’ll decide” person lol…

Wouldn't say I believe them to be true but I could see it being true, covers ups like Jfk and 9/11 are easy to understand.
The moon probably if we go by we did land on the moon just a bit later yet america wanted to claim they did before anyone.
Countries such as England, US are ran not by whatever leader you vote in, its ran by someone more powerful beyond them you'll never see or know. Front leaders have some power of course, do what they like mostly until it really steps on the real leaders toes. Its the smart option, have a fascist country ran by shadow leaders while front men pretend its not fascist and your vote matters.
Equally I also recognize the opposite theory that rich and ego idiots run the world and they want to be known and didn't think or want this.

Its 'any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice' to why I can see both. Maybe 9/11 was smart plot to encourage war or maybe people are idiots and made such bad security at airports nor did they ever think about what could happen...
Statistically people aren't smart so that one works however stats also would agree that in a government there has to be a select amount of high intellects within and naturally they'd design the system to be flawed on purpose so they could do this exact thing for how it benefits them. But eh it hurts my mind because the more smart thing to do is simply nothing at all so whom knows.

I don't think it's a conspiracy theory as much as it is a conspiracy fact:
The leadership of the Democrat Party and the Democratic Establishment (which includes publications like The New York Times) deliberately sabotaged Bernie Sanders 2016 Democratic Presidential Campaign in an effort to anoint Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic candidate for President in 2016 so she'd be the first woman President. There is plenty of email evidence between the Party and the Clinton campaign to this effect and, furthermore, it was obvious based on actions taken by the party during the campaign. For example, when state parties/governments deliberately changed primary polling times in various states; specifically, where Sanders was likely to win, polling places had shorter hours, but, in areas where Clinton was likely to win, those polling places were open longer.

Remember this name: Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
She's the one responsible for Earth's suffering from Donald Trump.
The Democrats lost a lot of votes - especially among younger voters - because of this.
Despite Clinton ultimately winning the national popular vote, she lost the electoral vote because she lost the electoral vote in states she would have won had the Clinton Campaign and the DNC not alienated voters by their leaked corruption.

Now, something else: The Russians wanted Trump to be President; it was they who hacked the DNC's email system forwarding the results to WikiLeaks.

Using the word "conspiracy theory" is very dangerous for our society as a whole. The word "conspiracy theories" means that you automatically shut down other ideas of doubt and suspecion which results in people not being able to have second thoughts about certain problem area's.

The most important thing in society is that you doubt in fact everything that so being broadcast and told to you by others untill its a proven fact!
If you cannot have different ideas then the standard it becomes very easy to be lied to and be manipuled which is already happening for a long time now

I believe most conspiracy theories are based in truth but get blown up beyond the point of being real.
It’s a problem… something that might be true like, 400 illegals voted in NJ elections (this is true) then someone changes the number to 4000 illegals (not true). By the time this story gets around it’s 40,000 and no one believes it. If people would only talk facts and didn’t Embellish the story to make their point sound bigger or better. It would be a more informed world.

More conspiracy theories have been proven true than have been proven false. It’s far dumber to doubt conspiracy theories at this point.
I would say that the 9/11/01 attacks on the US were permitted or even orchestrated by the US government in order to gain widespread support for a new war is extremely believable.

I´m skeptical of most. So many that are current today are absurd, for example the faking of the moon landings, that the attacks of September 11, 2001 were somehow orchestrated by the government, that the January 6 attack on the Capitol was perpetrated by anyone other than Trump supporters, that George Soros is paying protesters, the chemtrail thing, etc. It´s a long list of absurdities.

Whenever some important event happens, there are always some who start a conspiracy theory. Some are very creative and interesting to listen to.

But I haven't yet found a conspiracy theory that turned out to be true.
