No. If the 20th Century should have taught us anything, it is *that*.

However, a fundamental misunderstanding about Socialism must be addressed.

Some nations have more or different forms of government involvement than others. But it would be *totally wrong* to call the Scandinavian nations of Norway, Swcden and Denmark "Socialist Republics" - and not only because they all still *monarchies*. Norway, Sweden and Denmark may have more (or different kinds of) statist involvement in the lives of their citizens, but they still have many private corporations, even rather *big and global* ones, (e. g., Bofors, Ikea, Saab, Volvo, DAK)

Well yeah but no, why yes it'd be thanks to AI and Tech replacing most jobs which is going to happen anyway if government don't impose any bans on this happening.
Most people out of jobs would require a universal income system and be more socialist than ever at least economically speaking.
It would still fail in the ideology the people have the power of labour however but with so many people on universal income the state would be held more accountable to make sure most people are a baseline of wealth removing poverty.

It can't. I'm an eclecticist I don't think any of these systems work. Only pieces and parts applied in the right way at the right time can succeed. Socialism is dangerous it's only good for emergencies like when you get sick or hurt and have nothing or a 2 million dollar medical bill threatens to wipe you out. Then you need socialism. Everyone else can pay their medical bills. You see what happens with commie care like in Canada.

Your police force, is a result of socialism, your public roads are the result of socialism, your fire brigade is the result of socialism.. etc etc

Also, the Scandinavian countries are among the most successful in the world, and are socialist.

The problem is America has a different ideology for "socialism" than the rest of the world.

Maybe in short term, but not in long term. I watched a documentary on the Soviet Union. It wasn't as bad as everyone says, but someone told me this system only works short time because, "With such a generous system and only a 6% tax rate the economy would eventually collapse, then everyone would end up working 20 hours a day and getting paid in potatoes. Sounds good on paper, but unrealistic"

Socialism cannot succeed. It is a flawed theory. It forces the most creative to be punished for success. No matter how smart a person is, they can’t implement socialism. You will drive out the people that create and all you will have left is people that want things for free. People that want things for free don’t create the wealth the socialism needs to survive.

In most European countries yes, in the United States, no. One grave illness can put you into the poorhouse and/or get you fired. Getting fired for no reason can get you thrown into the streets and lose your health insurance, if you had one in the first place. It's for most people a circle (jerk) of oppression.
