I have only recently learned of it, but the social media around it is a cesspool
The tragedy occurred on January 24, 2023, in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Prosecutors allege that Clancy, 36, sent her husband, Patrick Clancy, out to pick up dinner and medication to deliberately create a window of time to strangle 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan. Immediately afterward, Clancy cut her wrists and jumped from a second-story window of their home in a suicide attempt, leaving her permanently paralyzed from the waist down. Her criminal trial began in July 2026.
The socials around it, especially tik tok, are doing every kind of mental gymnastics they can think of to blame the father. WTF man. If you read the story he was desperately trying to get her support, was an involved, supportive, loving husband and father. Hell some of the socials suggest his new wife was a secret assassin that killed the kids and attempted to kill the mother. Even in court though she's not denying she did it.
Why do we as a society go out of our way to excuse women's behavior, even going so far to blame the men in their lives. just wow.

This is a complicated case, a sad one. Postpartum psychosis is complicated. Immediately you notice you’re having psychosis episodes, postpartum depressions, intrusive thoughts after having a baby, let others know and separate the baby immediately. I am seeing people in the US play it nice all the time, hide their feelings, hide their mental state, even with their partner they can’t really be their true selves, they are acting. They choose denial.
Anyway! I wasn’t there, I don’t know. I don’t know how he can hold it together either….! Sad!
Agreed, I just hope she gets the help she needs.
Wow, this is a lot of people's worst nightmare. Especially for guys who are having a bad relationship with their girl.
But the answer to your question underlines why...
People don't want to blame the woman. Woman are nurturing, men are violent. Men kill woman birth.
That's a difficult relationship for a lot of people to violate.
Man haters and people who think they are smarter than the cops, detectives, attorneys and everyone else that has worked on this case for years now.
No idea. She admitted to killing the kids. Case closed.
Agreed. It's sad. She's pushing for not guilty by reason of insanity. She actually said she was having auditory hallucinations and the like, terrifying.
I've had auditory hallucinations and visual ones during actual psychosis. I'm still not killing people around me
I dunno. I do know she wasn't get the the help she needed.
