Why are so many people blaming the father in the Lindsay Clancy murder case?

I have only recently learned of it, but the social media around it is a cesspool

The tragedy occurred on January 24, 2023, in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Prosecutors allege that Clancy, 36, sent her husband, Patrick Clancy, out to pick up dinner and medication to deliberately create a window of time to strangle 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan. Immediately afterward, Clancy cut her wrists and jumped from a second-story window of their home in a suicide attempt, leaving her permanently paralyzed from the waist down. Her criminal trial began in July 2026.

The socials around it, especially tik tok, are doing every kind of mental gymnastics they can think of to blame the father. WTF man. If you read the story he was desperately trying to get her support, was an involved, supportive, loving husband and father. Hell some of the socials suggest his new wife was a secret assassin that killed the kids and attempted to kill the mother. Even in court though she's not denying she did it.

Why do we as a society go out of our way to excuse women's behavior, even going so far to blame the men in their lives. just wow.
