Nah, the ugly truth is that we come into this world alone and you're gonna go out of this world alone. We are exist as separate consciousnesses in these water bag containers we call bodies. None of us will ever know what's really going on in the consciousness that occupies another body. Some of us are better at trying to do that than others. The best we can hope for is a handful of other people, or one person who will try to connect alongside us. But there are relatively few people who will make that effort. But we are compelled to keep trying to find them.

Impossible to say. Great people are friends with other great people, assholes have asshole friends. Character has nothing to do with it, isolation is protective and rarely by accident whether you are conscious of it or not
