What is your honest attitude toward Muslims in your country?

The fact is, Muslims are found in countries all over the world. I am curious to hear your unbiased opinion. Do you hold any prejudices against Muslims? People in Muslim-majority countries respect the beliefs of Christians, Catholics, and followers of many other religions. What is your view on Muslims?

In the US, i couldn’t care less about a person’s religion. As long as they embrace the American way of life and strive to assimilate, who, what, why, where and how they worship is completely irrelevant.
That said, the oppression and even slaughter of Christians by Muslims in Nigeria, Somalia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Iran flies in the face of your assertion that Muslims “respect” other religions in Muslim majority countries.
The problem with Islam is that the fundamentalists and extremists are still in their “crusades” era. Additionally, they still subscribe to the strict oppression of women and children.
Maybe most importantly the majority of peace loving Muslims are more vulnerable than most to the violent wrath of their extremist brethren. Challenging the ideologues qualifies them as apostates, for which the penalty is death.
The US’s failures in Vietnam taught us the challenges of protecting a vulnerable majority from a violent minority when they otherwise seamlessly blend together.
Do we invite Muslim refugees in for their protection, knowing that any number of them might be wolves only portraying themselves as sheep? Not terribly different from our experiences in Vietnam, we have spent decades in a number of middle eastern countries supporting, training and arming Muslims to resist their extremist regimes, to no avail.
Is it ethical to leave them to their oppression and slaughter? We certainly can’t wipe out the authoritarian fundamentalists without casualties to our allies in the region.
It’s much more complicated than most people know and few want to admit.
Personally, i would invite people of all faiths and backgrounds to the US. Again, so long as they enter through the appropriate channels and demonstrate allegiance to our country and ways, as well as efforts to assimilate. The Sneaky Petes who come here and refuse to assimilate, or choose to create conflict, they should be marginalized in the harshest possible ways. Deport disrupters and deadbeats, and execute criminals. Teach these idiot kids what fascism actually looks like so they stop calling everything that they don’t like “fascism”, and clean up our country at the same time. Win-win!

Most don't seem to support Israel, I like the handful that do, the rest I am not too fond of. I would never hurt them or say they shouldn't be allowed to immigrate to the US, but I am not sure I would want them around me. Most Muslim countries make it illegal to leave Islam for those religions, or to try and convert Muslims. In a few Muslim countries apostasy is still a capital offense even if it isn't always carried out. Insulting Muhammad is also punished in most Muslim countries, insulting other religious leaders isn't unless Muslims consider them prophets too. There is no law against insulting the Bab in Iran. Many Muslim countries make marriage between non-muslim men and muslim women illegal (not the reverse). Muslims have rioted if Jews want to pray on the Temple Mount.

I don't have any issues. Truth be told, we have like next to none here. I live in the midwest of the US and kind of a back woods type place. Just don't see any around here.

I don't judge people based on their religion and would treat Muslims the same as anyone else I encounter. Come to think of it, we get hundreds of check ins a weekend. Don't ever remember seeing one or at least one I could identify.

Move them to Muslim countries so they can fight among themselves over what kind of Muslim is real. They are murdering Christians in their own native countries. Get them and their ideas the hell out of this country. I personally do not want them here
