Worse. We are living in an era of "alternative truths". Where all the information is available (yes the disinformation as well). But rather than educate themselves and learn. People choose the alternative truth that fits their viewpoint. Because change is hard. Learning is hard. It's much easier for people to sit back and be fed what they've already decided they want to believe. Because if enough people people believe a lie. A lie becomes the truth, (at least until something catastrophic happens that makes ignoring the truth utterly impossible anymore).🤣

Information monopole doesn't exist in internet era like it did in times of TV and printed press, but the price is a lot of fake news and foreign manipulation.
Disinformation is even a part of hybrid warfare and prepared to undermine moral of opposite faction.

yes. i am careful with a. i. to open its source. most of the time it did not match. so i believe the source not the a. i. 'summary'.

sometimes i cross examine the a. i. and it switches to truth. i became an unofficial a. i. training module. lol

a. i. is better than googling that makes fake 'concensus' by hiding everrything not progressive.

Yes, when you have a medium that is accessible to anyone and they can broadcast anything that they want there is bound to be a lot of lies and half truths. Also when you have most of the traditional news outlets in the tank for the democrats there are entire segments of the population that are totally ignorant of certain facts.
