Unquestionably. The corruption of the status quo and pro-wealthy politicians on both teams opened the door for him. Then he wove his lies and too many people bought them. Now he's monetizing every bit of America that he can devise a scheme for. The most successful con man in history, PT Barnum on steroids. This in addition to being adept at stirring up hate as a cover. He's uniquely cancerous.

I think the country has been on a spiral for the last 30 to 35 years. I think Trump is the end result of that. I think Trump is a very big X factor. I look at Trump as being less a current problem and more that what he does will have long lasting implications for decades. Trump doesn't want a world war. But his actions may inadvertently trigger one. Maybe not in his presidency but down the road.
