The biggest threat to freedom is the people that would give it up for their benefit and/or the benefit of others. This is something that people on both sides of the isle are capable of doing. Also what people fail to realize is that the benefits they are being promised is simply a link in a chain. This is why a government before switching to a dictatorship or hard line regime is quick to sell it's people on the benefits of a program or law change that givens said government more control over peoples daily life. This is especially true when it comes to when it comes to meeting peoples basic needs or wants.

Hence the entire reason why many soviet governments, dictatorship or hard line regimes end up with completely controlling basic resources and do their best to make themselves de facto source of them. Of course such changes are rolled out slowly and a large part of people are fooled into thinking such changes will benefit them. You can study a lot of world history and see this play out over and over again.

Also this is the exact reason why I opposed major government benefit programs and peoples pushing for a more socialist country. Because the more control over our basic wants and needs we give to our government, the more control over us we give them. History has shown this to be true time and time again. Also the simple truth that people are doomed to repeat history if they do not learn about it or refuse to accept the many parallels it presents.

Voters have the right to vote for the candidate of their choice (even writing in votes), but this criminal Administration does not respect the rights of its political opponents.

Do you know which day’s briefing this is from? I’d want to hear the question and response in the complete context, including questions, responses, or statements surrounding that particular quote preceding that question and answer (or given statement). The tweet only quotes the “a threat to our democracy, to our freedom, to our rights” part, the assertion that this applies to anyone who voted for Trump is only coming from the guy whose Twitter account it is. I’d need to hear from her mouth who she’s specifically referring to, and what prompted her to say whatever it is she said before I could comment on it.
