I like the one that I live in. It is mostly rural with the large cities towards our state lines. The specific area that I live in is really nice. We have a fairly built up area around the lake, which is a tourist attraction, but just minutes drive and it looks like another world.

We have tons of outdoor activities around here and our weather is pretty good all year. Winters can get cold but nothing like other places in the US. We still get to experience all four seasons.

I was born and currently live in California. If not for politics, it would be the best state in the nation and I would never leave. Unfortunately, that's not the reality.

My parents are in their mid-late 70s and they are starting to not be able to do things on their own anymore. I have been gradually doing more maintenance, repair, and handyman work for them and doing all of the long-distance driving I know things will only decline over time, so I will stay in California until they are gone, but I have plans to move after they go. I live well below my means (which aren't especially impressive) because I plan to buy property and build a small home on it.

California. The weather, Pacific ocean, coastlines, beaches, amazing ecosystems from mountains and valleys to deserts, redwood forests and Great Sequoias.
The history of Spanish missions, possession by Mexico, the gold rush. Victorian-era buildings, ghost towns. Unique attractions like the original Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Hollywood.

No poisonous snakes other than rattlesnakes. No alligators or crocodiles. Relatively few dangerous bugs or pesky insects.

The only thing that sucks is the Democratic leadership and taxes. Other than that, it's a pretty magical place.

I've lived in two states I've been to 17 States they're all the same you are that makes it or breaks it

I'm sure that the state of where your family is Is a bonus But we're you're happy Is even a bigger bonus

Every state that I've been to has something great to offer it's beautiful if you like the outdoors you just have to find your happy spot and then you make it work for whatever reasons

California for a beauty ocean access. A good economy and progressive politics. California is one of the two most beautiful states in the country, Hawaii being the second here in California we have every environment ranging from warm beaches to mountain skiing you could possibly want.

I really liked when I was in Hawaii, but they just got hit by a hurricane and are getting hit by another one soon. They've also had a few earthquakes. I'd also need to check on the healthcare I can get there, but if everything else works out, it's a pretty nice place to live, at least the Kona side of The Big Island is.

I am a transplanted Yankee who grew up in the Northeast and now live in the Southeast. I'm satisfied where I am, but my favorite state (not where I live) is North Carolina, especially the mountains in the Western part of the state.
