Inflation is up again. How bad will it get? Higher Diesel prices, trade wars, and Artificially high Tariffs by Trump all make inflation higher.

Gas prices were higher under Obama $5+ a gallon in NJ. And gas prices are the same as it was under Biden $4+ a gallon.
You do understand the way inflation works right? The 9.1% inflation under Biden raised prices and they never go back down. Even if inflation was 0%. Trumps inflation has been 3-4% still high but not the 40 year high Biden had.
As for the trade war… do you know that Canada had 270% tariffs on U. S. milk? How about poultry 238% tariffs… Canada won’t even allow some American whiskeys in Canada. Canada tariffs a lot of US goods but when Trump puts some tariffs on Canadian goods it’s a war. Good grief learn the facts.

As per the history channel:

“On June 14, 2022, the average price for a gallon of gas broke the $5 barrier for the first time ever.” This was caused by runaway inflation and the Russia / Ukraine war.
So I had them backwards.

The rate of inflation before Trump invaded Iran was 2.5%. When biden was president it was 9.9 and that was not counting fuel which was over 5 bucks a gallon

You’re talking about a recession between 2008 to 2012 the other stuff you’re talking about was gas prices that were being affected because they were holding all the Oil barges at bay instead of letting them come into the ports, but I was just a kid back then I didn’t notice anything other than high interest rates because of Jimmy Carter
