As a business owner should you value Political correctness and activism over sales and customer service?

I saw this recently. Basically a customer of Best Buy tried to buy a laptop from the store. The sales associate was apparently a trans person. Images show the Trans person DEFINITELY did not pass. As a result the person buying the laptop said Thank you sir. Later the manager refused to sell him the laptop over the perceived insult. Another manager did the same thing. Later the manager told him to turn the camera off and apologize if he wanted the laptop, Obviously he refused. Even later they said to just turn the camera off and they will sell him the laptop to which the person again refused.

Yeah im sorry, as someone who has been in the same situation as that manager. A sales persons perceived slight is not worth losing a $2000 sale and future business. Its not my place, nor anyone else's place to force someone to comply with someone else's preferences. No one should be forced to do anything they do not want to.

If i were that customer, i would have, in front of that manager, Ordered the laptop online on the best buy web site and showed him that his idiotic activism means exactly nothing to me.
