Should there be a mandatory retirement age of 75 for Congress and the Supreme Court?

Age limits + term limits. Congress was never supposed to be a career. And we've seen the error of lifetime appointments to the Supremely Corrupt Court. Somewhere between lifetime appointments of political toadies and political winds changing with every election is something sane.

No, possibly 72 at the oldest. But judges are treated special. They get to tell everybody what to do. They dictate law and foreign policy. They can break the law by aiding and abetting criminals and throw tantrums if caught. Perhaps that age limit should be term limits instead.

Term limits. Maybe 2? Voters can just not vote people if they feel they are too old.

It's a democracy. The people the People vote in are always the best people.

The Court is a profession. Age limits seem worth considering, or even fixed terms.

No, there are plenty of people under 75 that have significant problems, and lots of people over 75 that don't. Making an arbitrary age limit doesn't fix any of those problems.

It would have prevented both the Trump and the Biden situations. That "alone" would have made it worth it.
