What did President Trump mean when he said the War in Iran will end after the election?

It appears that Iran is using what resources it has left to escalate the war to make President Trump look bad before the election so the democrats win. I wondered if it was a wise move since there is two months before the democrats get back in office which is ore than enough time to completely decimate all bridges, power plants and infrastructure. Then on the way out completely destroy Kharg Island and Pick Axe mountain.

It sounds like this is what he is thinking.

i think he is being optimistic. about iran and about election. once republicans control congress he can hit iran much harder. republicans will support dual targets like electricity and your good target list.

it's possible we don't have the supply of munitions for all that. Prez cannot risk a major loss of life before election. After that, I don't think the war ends either unless he drops a nuke, and then it just gets worse globally.

I'd think he's known that a while and has held off multiple times when it seemed justified. not so convinced he can end this after election. why not pound huthis now, like Biden did. problem is Iran could take out the middle east... it's all fixed assets.

He's buying time to try to find a solution to prevent this from becoming a forever war. Every time he says the war is almost over the markets pop 0.5-1% for a couple days. The pattern is 4-5 down days on the markets and he'll come out with one of his war is over tweets to prop the market back up and bring oil prices back down. I think he said this because this week could be a rough on in the markets and he'll need to prop it up.
