What the heck happened to the left?

This kind of happened overnight. I still remember turning away from republicans in the early aughts because while Bill Clinton fought to balance the budget, republicans fought him every step of the way. Including crying about cuts that republicans themselves had previously proposed. With the help of a minority of republicans, Clinton’s budget was passed. The federal budget was balanced and we even traded the deficit for a significant surplus for a short time. Less than one year into Bush’s first term, we were back in the red. Republicans insist that they are the party of fiscal responsibility.
Yet the last two significant surpluses in modern history came under democrat administrations.
So i shifted back to the center and even proudly voted democrat a few times in my early years in the union.
But what has happened over the last twenty years? How is it that to the modern left, a woman who murders her own children in cold blood is a hero? Yet a woman who does a scantily clad ad for sports betting is the monster?
Someone make that make sense.
The left has completely lost the plot and they’re expecting a “blue tide” in the midterms.

Remember this year, lefties. When the democrat party becomes completely irrelevant and the 19th amendment gets repealed, it will be 100% your fault for refusing to rein in your crazies.
