Yeah, people love to play the victim and exaggerate 😂 but for Turkey, this isn't an exaggeration, it's reality. In the US you still have checks and balances keeping the president in line. In Turkey everything comes down to one man's whim. He can easily lock up political opponents on bogus charges just to eliminate any real competition. The system in Turkey has basically turned into Russia. Somehow Putin just got re-elected again, as if people were actually living in peace and prosperity under him 🤔 A dictatorship might develop a country if it's run by a visionary, patriotic leader, but that rarely happens. When it falls into the hands of an uneducated religious-school grad like Erdogan, the whole country just goes down the drain. Oops, hope I don't get thrown in jail just for saying that.

There are no laws protecting the president differently from a citizen. Both president and citizen are bound by the laws pertaining to libel and slander.
