Is Freedom better, or Control by way of culture or government?

China and Arabs/Muslims control their people and thus limit the problems. Americans... we are FREE... to discover much, including the ills, the best and the worst.

Muslims have "Haram"... don't eat pork, gamble, drink alcohol, sexual perversions and such etc.. They culturally protect their people to an extreme. They are right these things can be dangerous (not sure about pork), but Americans are free to discover the ills and problems. Is Freedom better or Control?

In China, they don't allow prostitition, cracked down on cheating. Recently was there saw a street vendor kicked out... because the scale was wrong. Lying cause problems, they don't want problems! Law violators are dealt with strictly, so there is very low crime. Can walk any street without feeling threat. Cannot do that in NYC...

Things you don't see in China

There's huge benefits to FREEDOM... but major risks. The other question, how do you protect the children and young people from the NEGATIVE ASPECTS of freedom.

Agree. But see bonus question attached. how to protect children. Children believe in Santa clause... they get markted about junk cereals and all sorts of junk via phone. They can be warped fast. One of those warped people impacted you, it's a daily thing... producing more damage.

How to protect the children... when tohers are motivated to sell junk for profit.

my point is kids don't know right and wrong and most lack common sense. if they are trained in the "corrupt", many absorb it. its much safer in china now than usa. obviously, that wasn't true when leaders turned people against each other.

It's all relative isn't it. Didn't know they did that that way or how it all worked, I know they had 1 child policy which in their culture means ya don't want the girl else lose the name. I know peeps that adopted chinese girls for that reason. That policy is gone as far as I know. Don't know about the slaves issue?
I don't think their food is fake or is anymore. they went through starvation, but I went to their wet markets... what we process in a factory they process in the open, it's observable.

I see their current paradigm as "no trouble"... they don't want trouble or problems, so they manage to that.
For safet I'm simply saying you can go anywhere I've been in china, and will feel no threat. places in usa, we know that is not true... becuase lack of enforcement.

What I say above is not true of china even 40yrs ago from what I hear. I'll share what I saw, for what it's worth. The past for sure, is awful.

chinese can have up to 3 kids now. The people I saw were doing well, all considered. may depend on location. Not sure what you see and hear.
Thing is though... not allowed to make trouble there, so have to be careful what talk about. So just because I saw a lot of happy kids, doesn't mean everyone is happy. But whom I met on the streets, working, on the train, and the kids playing in the huge shopping malls... were doing well. I never had so many kids look at me like I was a space alien and say "hellloowww"... practicing their English.

in usa or china? Id argue usa like that. china, they eat real food... never seen so many farms, fresh vegetables. eating an animal, generally looks like an animal... in usa it's ground up.
chinese hotdogs are disgusting though... worse than ours, I dont touch.
