I don't think it's okay, no... however, I've risked it before... and not precisely on my beliefs but my actions towards the sense of justice and need I believe there has to be

if the principle behind our beliefs are right (which, can be subjective in many cases) then jail should not be the result of it, however... how we carry on with such "message" might be a different thing, because a wrong doesn't always fixes another wrong

YES I do WITHIN REASON but if you believe in murder, violence, burglary & crimes like that it’s a different story. If you stand up for what you believe it’s probably worth it.

If it’s a protest NO, if it’s a peaceful demonstration that doesn’t lead to looting or destruction of property YES.

I know it’s unlawful to rip the tag off of a mattress so if you do that it’s well worth going to jail.

If someone is peacefully standing up for something they truly believe is right, even knowing there may be consequences, I can respect that kind of courage. But I don't think every belief is worth sacrificing your freedom for.

Sometimes being brave means accepting the consequences. Other times it means knowing when something isn't worth losing your life or freedom over 🥰

It's not 'ok' but if your country's government turns authoritarian and locking people up for the flimsiest of excuses it might just happen. always be true to yourself even in dark times like that.

That would depend on what it is, and potentially for how long. You can't get much done while you're in jail to fix something when you're in jail.
