Why has 2026 been the year of death?

My grandfather passed away earlier this year and now my ex-boyfriend's grandmother passed away yesterday.

She always wanted to meet me but never got the chance to because we broke up. Even after we broke up, she still would always ask about me. It saddens me that I never got to meet her. She seemed like a kind woman.

Not to mention all the celebrity deaths this year. It's just been so many people dying off. And it's not even the end of the year yet. I don't even want to know who else might come to pass by the end of the year.

Yes, it is a shame that you never met her while she was still here. He must have said a lot of great things to her about you for her to always be asking about meeting you.

I remember when you were so distraught when your grandfather passed away. Are you doing better with that now? It's still so soon.😔

This apartment building I have lived in for the past 10-1/2 years was an assisted living apartment building with really old people in it - more than 150 of them. I was the youngest one here back then at 63.

I grew close to so many of them. All I had to do to get a hug 🫂 and a kiss on my cheek was to go downstairs and someone would grab onto me.🙂 I socialized with them everyday for years and really cared about them deeply.

But one by one they were passing away. This one black lady used to sit next to me in Bible study and hold my hand. I was so sad when she passed away.

Luckily when they sold the building they all moved out and I didn't have to deal with all of them dying anymore.

Hopefully it won't happen as much in the future, but it's really out of our hands.

People die every year. It's part of the deal. It's always sad. My grandparents died months apart. I was away at college. It was tough. Sony for your loss

Yeah i had an aunt just die a couple days ago. A lot of the boomer generation are starting to die off. Its sad but expected. My folks are getting up there too.
