Oh yes. I think a lot of us learn this one the hard way. 😅

Sometimes you say yes because you don't want to disappoint someone, then you're sitting there wondering why you agreed to spend your evening with someone you barely even wanted to see.

I've gotten to the point where I'd rather politely say no than force myself into plans just because someone asked. My time and energy matter too. Saying no doesn't make me rude.
