I cannot help but to point out hypocrisy.

We cannot deny everyday essentials from groceries to utilities, repairs, healthcare, and housing has become an affordability crisis or at least a hard strain on the average, everyday American.

There was a video that discussed this, and a woman was claiming how grocery prices alone were causing a major burden on her and her family. Then it flashed a clip of her showcasing her processed foods she bought. Then comes the negative comments saying she "should have bought rice and beans instead because its cheaper and healthier"... you know... the negative comments nitpicking and criticizing individual purchasing choices.

The lady wasn't splurging on eating out. She wasn't buying filet mignons or lobster dinners. In fact, these negative commenters were evading the fact our purchasing power we once had as middle class/working class Americans have dropped dramatically and our standard of living has been lowered.

When I was younger (early to mid 2000s), my mom used to fill 2 large carts with groceries to the point they were overflowing, walking out just spending a few hundred dollars. Now, it isn't uncommon for just a handful of grocery bags worth of items to cost $100.

The left was notorious for criticizing others on their food choices when their leftist regimes were in power, causing soaring inflation during their terms. Now that Trumpflation has taken its grip, now the right wants to do the same and downplay other's financial struggles? I call that hypocrisy!

I do think there is some hypocrisy here, and honestly, I think it happens on both sides.

If someone spends years telling struggling people that their problems are just because they make bad choices, but then complains when prices become too high for their own household, I think it is fair to point out the contradiction.

The grocery example is a good one. If someone says groceries are becoming too expensive, I don't think the answer should automatically be, "Well, you should have bought rice and beans instead." Maybe they could have saved some money that way, but that doesn't mean their struggle isn't real.

People should be allowed to buy things they enjoy without being treated like they caused the entire affordability crisis themselves.

Personal responsibility matters, but so do wages, housing costs, healthcare, utilities, groceries and other basic expenses. At some point, constantly telling people to simply make better choices starts ignoring the bigger problem.

And honestly, I think it's worth asking whether some people are only concerned about affordability when it finally affects them personally.

Yes prices are high. People do not seem to remember exactly when the prices got so high. It was when Biden was president. Inflation has cooled from the 9.9% it was during the Biden regime and has gone up temporarily as a result of the war in Iran.

At least President Trump has a plan to lower inflation and to bring down prices but more importantly he is trying to raise wages.

Democrats will open the borders which will raise housing costs and depress wages. They will raise taxes and they want to end fossil fuel which will drive up the price of gas and eventually the price of everything. If you think it was bad when Biden was president , this time it will make the Biden years look like the good old days.

2. Flock cameras and mass surveillance technologies.

4. Immenent domain of farmland and generational family properties to accommodate large data centers.

If your question is about hypocrisy on the right as it pertains to groceries prices, why are you bringing up the down playing of the Epstein files? If the Trump administration downplayed the Epstein files, what did the Biden administration do? No one even talked about the Epstein files back then.

And we are years away from even general artificial intelligence, let alone super intelligence which is decades away. (General intelligence is equal to human intelligence.)
And data centers are necessary in order to keep up with China. I just think you're dumping too much on Trump.

I believe it is a combination of COVID era impacts, lingering harm from the Xiden regime, the ongoing wars in Iran and Ukraine worsened by the Trump administration, and staggering national debt.

Okay then I think the only one that's Trump's fault is the Iran war. I personally don't support the Iranian war because the world just seems so ungrateful for America's efforts in anything we do. Let them have nukes and let the chips fall where they may.

But for those who do support the war, they truly believe that if Iran had nukes they would slaughter thousands of Israelis. So if your belief system is that higher grocery prices are just the price you have to pay to save lives, I don't see that as being hypocritical at all. You may be wrong but your heart is in the right place.
If today Americans insisted on only buying American-made products, it would definitely hurt us all in the pocketbook. But in the long run the factories would have no choice but to come back to America and that would make us a much stronger nation. Just look at all the cheap plastic shit we buy from China. Sure it's cheap on our pocketbook but we're also building China's military.
