And vice versa?
They have good intentions but i just disagree with them
They are likely bad people
I would stop talking to them for their stance
IDC, to each their own

I would assume they think these people are weak?
But people aren't the same, and its complicated because opinions about death sentence don't mean the same in places where it's culturally acceptable versus places where it's not.
For instance, I live in a place where it's been abolished before my birth, so abolition is, locally, the norm, to me. If someone was going against this norm, it would mean this person is ready to go into a massive cultural clash. Whereas, in another place, where capital punishment is a legal option, a person being for it would simply conform with what's established.
These two persons don't view the world the same way, because they're individuals, but also because they didn't grow up in the same world, so to speak. So their opinion, while being the same in the end, doesn't mean they are like-minded...
I'm against it. I think they're wrong. If they claim it deters crime (it could only deter capital crimes, for a start), How come Louisiana, which has the death penalty, has 10x the murder rate of New Hampshire, which does not?

Protecting criminals is bad. Must deter crime. If not deter crime that is evil and a partner. Accomplices are guilty too.
Cool to see no cancel culture for this.
The death penalty is an incredibly effective tool for deterrent. Studies show that 100% of dead people never reoffend.
they are bleeding heart liberals. It would be good karma if one of them was murdered by some murderer that got let go.
There's a lot of space between killing someone and letting them out immediately, you know.
Most countries don't have the death penalty, even more haven't executed anyone for over a decade. Dozens of them have far lower murder rates than the US.
