Do you think feminism and the "Women's Liberation Movement" was a good deal for women now that they have to bring home the bacon just like men did?

Let's face it. Women today not only have to bear the children, take the primary role in raising the children and be the primary carrier outers of the household chores, but now, thanks to feminism and the "Women's Liberation Movement" from the 1960s through the 80s, they also have the privilege that those in the movement fought so hard to give them... the need to go out and get a job too just like men have always traditionally done in order to make ends meet!

Actually while Feminism and Women's Lib sounds good on paper, I think it was a TERRIBLE idea.

I've never met a guy with a daughter who didn't want her capable of making a lot of money so that she didn't have to be dependent on some guy... so what possible alternative could we have?

My grandmother quite her job at a bank because a guy she trained was promoted to a position she'd wanted, because women were just sort of habitually screwed over in the workplace like that.

I'm getting the impression that in order to avoid women working you'd have to screw them over somehow, either by discrimination or having them be dependent on guys.

If they want to be dependent on a guy, I think people get too much negative feedback for that though... in the sense that any would be too much. I'm not sure they get that much negative feedback though.
