Do you think digital currencies will be a thing?

They already are. They're just a bit rubbish.

Bitcoin is clunky, uses a lot of energy, takes time to transfer money and is extortionately expensive when you do so. I'm sure there's far better coins. Just like there is better ED medication than viagra (or so I have heard...).

But really, the problem is one of exchanges. No one has solved the problem in a decent way of how you get money in and out without losing your privacy on an exchange. The government wants you to upload a picture of your passport, phallus and other sensitive data, and it ends up in God knows what kind of territory, on a server, probably for ever.

I sure hope that even though the Democrats want that.

Hope not.

They are already. If you don't pay cash you pay with digital currency. When an EMP impulse comes from space and all computer networks collapse, money on you bank account will be noting worth.

[lilBigPotato]

I guess so but cash will stay around for a very long time.

[strateguy632]

never we will use paper until we stop needing any money.

A good amount already are & the rest of them are a PUMP & DUMP & scams.

[jshm2]

They are a thing. Just not a bond, tax or bank backed one.

[Abbycado]
