I guess many will think it is a bit odd. A sexual relationship with some degree of permanence has always carried some degree validation for men & women. Women married early 20's with men a bit older. Both were carrying out their biological roles of producing the next generation.

Till now.

Women have gone full hypergamy and more less will only pay attention to maybe the top 5% of men on the off chance they might negotiate a permanent relationship with a top tier guy.

Along the way women have become marriageable. It is a coin toss that if you do marry them, that the marriage lasts longer than 8 years with a 60% chance of divorce by your wife at 10 years and a 70% chance at 20 years.

Not that marriage is anything other than a free association based on individual preferences. There is nothing to be objected to in the exercise of personal preferences and rights. Up to the individuals concerned.

Whilst women have rejected traditional roles, It still seems to be expected that men should perform traditional roles - marrying and allowing ourselves to be divorced, providing and protecting.

I'd suggest we consider ourselves now excused from those roles and just look after and improve ourselves. Just as women have rejected their traditional roles then so should and rejection being validated by a semi permanent relation ship with a woman.

That is to say reject being seen as weird.

I had people ask questions, I generally deflected. If you handle the question well, it's not a problem.

Your goal is frankly, to not care if they see you as weird, but be you. If you are holding to a set of values, that may be highly regarded. If you don't have a girlfriend because you are a lame ass that lacked skills, then be honest and frank about it.

I lived that road. Keep in mind many of those that get started young find out the hard way and blow up, they suffer hard. Don't envy those that started earlier.

Some might, but honestly? I wouldn’t. ❤️ Everyone’s timeline is different. A man who’s never dated by 30 isn’t automatically weird—he might just be inexperienced or haven’t met the right woman yet.

Probably, but if this guy behaves a while normally not one will even think about about that. Relationships past doesn't define a person in one or another direction.

In a way he is weird -- most people have had relationships before 30. But that doesn't mean he is undateable or undesirable. If that's you, why haven't you dated? Have you approached women and been rejected? Or have you been too shy to approach a woman? Either way, you might benefit from professional counseling, perhaps with a woman who offers coaching on dating.

Everyone has different life circumstances. A friend of mine went on a date with a man in his 30s. He was good looking and seemed nice. He owned his own contracting business and was fairly successful. He had never had a girlfriend before.
He grew up in a small town and there were not many opportunities to meet girls.
