Why are some people so obsessed with religion and forcing it on others?

Some people church lives rent free on their minds. Once again I try asking this question and the typical religous fanatic got offended over my basic question and decided to forced my account for a week. I am just shocked how some stranged people forced religión on to other people.

Indoctrination. Plus perhaps it gives people something to hold onto but too many people use it as a crutch to purposely do bad and ask for forgiveness afterwards. It's weak and a cheap cop out, but whatever.

People cling to religion to cope with reality. When they see other people not needing to cope in that way it causes cognitive dissonance.

no, but thry come stound my neighborhood s couple of times a year. one time I was in my driveway fixing a lawnmower and I had to threaten to sic my dog on them.
