Why do you think some people feel the urge to make nasty comments online about the way other people look?

Susan Dell has gone viral and not in a good way after her recent White House visit.

Some people also enjoy the feeling of having power over someone else's confidence. They know that a cruel comment about someone's face, body, or appearance can hurt, and getting a reaction makes them feel important. Others have simply become so used to judging people online that they've forgotten there's a real human being on the other side of the screen.

What bothers me most is that nobody chooses every feature they're born with, and even if someone looks different from what you find attractive, why should that give you the right to humiliate them? You don't have to find everyone beautiful, but you can certainly keep an unkind opinion to yourself.

I also think we underestimate how long a few cruel words can stay with someone. The person making the comment might forget it five minutes later, while the person receiving it could spend years feeling insecure about that very thing.

To me, being able to make someone feel small doesn't make you powerful. Knowing you could hurt someone but choosing kindness instead says much more about your character. ❤️

I do not know what the big deal is about that. Should she have cosmetic surgery because she is rich?
