Fascism always needs a bad guy, someone who is the downfall of society, a boogeyman to exploit for gain. When one “rat” is found out, they move onto a new enemy and eventually it comes back to you. That is not what I’m going to talk about here, Republicans love hatred and pointing at people to feel better about themselves. They see short term not long term, so Transgender hatred or any hatred doesn’t matter to the majority unless all of them woke up Transgender tomorrow.
And the “you can’t win an election by hate” the exact reason Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton lost their elections. You need policy, you need charisma, you need leadership, you need to meet the moment, and you need a platform that lifts everyone up not a few and energize your base. Establishment Dems got comfy and lost.
There’s reason why there’s momentum of Mamdani, Troy Jackson, Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Abdul El-Sayed, Adam Hamawy, Angie Nixon, Omar, and so on. They do and say what the Establishment won’t and actively listen, pay attention, speak directly to their constituents (even first time voters, especially the youth)
The Right will always be Fascist in nature, seems to be embracing it even as their Dear Leader never stopped creating wars, never stopped inflation, never made a new Iran Nuclear Deal and worse sabotaged the first one, never made gas or electricity or food cheap, has given the 1% tax breaks, cut back on environmental protections, and screwed everything up. Again, don’t see the long term and only the short. Hatred sells and they’re buying, so we need to be the party of love, peace, affordability, freedom, privacy, and regulations to combat this Madness.
Don’t settle for “better than Donald Trump”, demand more out of your politicians.
Don’t simply be Blue Hat Democrats Versus Red Hat Republicans, have some dignity and self respect. Demand more, do what Republicans won’t do and once Democratic Socialists, Progressives are successful they’ll be won over.

Reps don't have a problem with CONSENTING people being trans! What they're against is trans people competing in the sports of the opposite gender, people that AREN'T trans CLAIMING they are just to go into the bathrooms and locker rooms of the opposite gender or people that CLAIM to be trans but aren't even TRYING to present and people trying to talk little kids into ruining their lives with a sex change before they even have the "ability" to consent to it or decide for themselves that they really want to!! Do you let little kids get tattoos or bizarre body piercings? If they're too young for that, they're WAY too young for a sex change and to be able to decide they want one!! Go right ahead and BE trans all you want!! I've got several trans friends! Except for the one hermaphrodite who tends to be an asshole, I have no problem with any of them! Come on over and watch t. v., play cards, listen to music, join my band or go shoot pool and hit a pizza shop with me!! If I can ever get a pool in my back yard, again, come on over for a swim! I don't know much (if anything at all) about politics but all I know is that disrespecting any LGBTQ+ people is not a cool thing to do. Those people have been through enough. Straight cisgender people may feel inconvenienced by the LGBTQ+ and all their social movements and the such but those social movements are the result of thousands of years of oppression. It's only extremely recently their voices have been heard.

@Taranis_Thunor I'm a believer that the recent rash of trans effected individuals has a lot to do with thosee that work in the psychological department directing everyting from depression to simply being gay into being a different gender... then the medical fields that prosper from such actions simply have no objections themselves. I can't ignore that a gauntlet of therapy and Rx perscriptions are at the helm of all these sudden strong urges to go full Red Dragon...
A combo of what my generation delt with, where everything from depression to bad grades required drugs all of a sudden to this new thing where it now also requires a gender reassignment... but that's just my theory as to the why the desire is even there, I'd neither argue for or against the self mutilation further than arguing against the reasons they have to do it in the first place.
Something is wrong with our medical/phychological process in my opinion and a lot of these patiants seem to just be following the Doctor's orders. Meanwhile things as it is don't seem to help... higher suicide rates or worse... going off the fucking rails into delulu land and hurting others.

It is due to crippling inflation, the affordability crisis, astronomical fuel prices which impacts logistics and other prices, the consequences of the Iranian war, and the overall state of the economy. The economy is one of the (if not the topmost) important issues impacting everyday Americans. Promises made, promises broken. We did not lower grocery prices "on day one". We didn't end the ongoing wars with "a phone call". We never saw the DOGE savings benefit us. We saw pedophiles getting away with perhaps the largest pedophilia scandle of all time.
