As someone who was the youngest sibling, I’m sorry you dealt with that. Being “the third parent”.
The “I hate the prospect of having kids bc i never got to be one!”, hit me right in the soul I tell you.
Childhood is a sacred experience for children, that should be absolved of responsibility, being so stern serious and beacon of maturity, rigid, limited, etc. Enjoy your barbie life in dream house, also all the things that bring you closer to the childhood you never really got to fully indulge in while growing up due to the pressures and woes.
I’d say in your circumstance it is true and I won’t revoke it because that would be not validating your feelings, which you are entitled to your opinion especially you must’ve went through a lot to forge that opinion. Again I felt the words smack me, so I stand by your thoughts and opinions, feelings. I say it is true that eldest daughters don’t have a childhood and I wish to live in a world, where that is false. No child should go childhood-less.
My mom had a brother who was sick she was younger than him though, but she became like focused on what you're "supposed to" be doing and she passed it on to me. She never did therapy or anything it just became her whole personality. I'm only now actually dealing with it because I had so much other bullshit happen to me that was more visible so I processed that first and now I'm actually getting to this stuff that's underneath. I'm working on a message to send her to talk about this but a lot is going on in my life atm so I need some time.
