Statistical analysis show that 1 in 4 children are not the biological child of the man they percieve to be the father in Non-conservative countries such as North America. While in conservative countries such as India, it's 1 in 10. Still this is rather shocking statistics, which shows not only women's infidelity but their nature to lie to men. This is further excaberated by media constantly portraying women as victims, and virtuous innocent creatures, thereby tricking men into thinking that they are more honest than their male peers.

Now this isn't a question bashing women, but just a shocking realization, and confirmation of whether really do lie this much about the supposed paternity of the child to get the support from a male.

I'd just like to add that while many of these men who are raising other kid's are always clueless, the vast majority are. They often find out they are not the biological father when the kid needs a blood transfusion and they aren't an elligible donor.

That's a high end estimate. It's probably more in the 1 in 20 to 1 in 10 range. There's a big socioeconomic link, in rich families it's more like 1-2%, but it does happen.

Are women that dishonest? Yes, pretty much. What's amazing isn't just that this happens millions of times, but how when it happens, most women seem to support the woman and say well 'it's better for the kids'.

Sure. It's better for the kids. But it's wrong. It would be better for my kids if we declared bill gates to be their dad and they could inherit a few billion, but that doesn't make it okay. If there are kids in need, and we all need to pay more taxes to help them, so be it. But to just take -random fucking men- and then trick them into thinking they are their own kids, and then potentially having them years later during a divorce find they weren't theirs (and that IS then used in determining physical custody) and that not only were they deceived, they may have also missed out the chance to actually have their own kids... and then topping it all off? Most jurisdictions, if it comes out when the kids are 10 that the woman intentionally deceived the guy, they make him pay child support (potentially forever).

Make men in your family get a paternity test at birth on every damn child. If they want to raise someone else's biological child, i fully support them, but they deserve to know that up front. Women will lie. And women will support other women's lying, and governments will then back up the lie even if it's discovered.

women find 80% of guys unattractive, while the 20% of guys who find them attractive are common to majority of women. Simple math suggest that this is nothing but a disaster on mating market.

From the experience, women are nothing but a predetermined to cheat, unless being with attractive guy, but as stated previously, that's less likely. The thirst for masculine and attractive guys that I can see between married women is insane. Give her a hot guy, alcohol and guarantee that nobody will find out and she'll cheat in a drop of hat.

OK so I did the "research" (although there's NOT a ton and many sources appear to be unreliable and /or biased) and added it up... the number is actually closer to 1 in 10 in MOST research, although I've also see 1 in 20. As someone else mentioned on here... the research is not accurate as many include confounding factors.

But aside from that, I'd like to point out that although you claim to NOT be posting this to "bash women" you in the same breath, continue talking about women's "natural inclination to lie" as well as your opinion that women are not only dishonest but also prone to infidelity. To this, I'd like to counter with my own FACTS- research overwhelmingly shows that MEN cheat significantly more than women, the lowest number I found was a 10% difference, with men in the lead. Chew on that sweet-cheeks. And for your little "crusader" the "dudeman" , You can do your own research. =]

Letting a guy raise a child that is not his but letting him believe it is , and cheating are not the same thing, you equated the 2 in your argument. Cheating is a part of both acts but one goes further. I also heard it was more like 10% but that's still quite high for such a important part of someones life. but you have to think about what that includes. maybe the guy's infertile, so they used a sperm donor. or maybe that's the step-father. or maybe they adopted, so neither parent is biologically related. hell, maybe the woman didn't know that he wasn't the bio dad to her kid, there's no way to know unless you have a DNA test, and maybe she didn't want to put her newborn through that. etc, etc. I do think that some woman intentionally lie to men, yes, but please don't make it sound like 25% of us would lie about the biological paternity of our kids on purpose. that just makes us all sound like asses.

The real statistic is 1 in 20 and that includes adopted children who do not know their parents are not genetically theirs. Also includes people who have told their partners and not the children when they have been pregnant.
