Well, my predictions were wrong. I assumed Republicans would hold the Senate, and that clearly didn't happen. Democrats were going to win, because that's the history of the midterms. Rarely do incumbent powers stay in power. However, it's a significant victory for them.
What do you think happens now over the next two years?
In my opinion, we will see endless lawfare (as before) and our political system will descend further into quagmire.
Worse case scenario? The inevitable rise of a real authoritarian regime due to the ineptness of democracy.

We will have no more progress in President Trumps agenda. He will veto everything the democrats want and they will impeach him several times.
All the new investment in the US will dry up and all the private sector jobs in construction and industry will disappear. Oil companies will be afraid to invest in new wells and gas prices will rise even more.
Housing will be even more scarce because contractors will be afraid to invest in building new houses and interest rates will go up because inflaton will be higher
There has never in modern history been a shortage of housing in the US. There are enough vacant homes in the USA to give four to every homeless family in the country. Many of them are being bought and held by banks, corporations and other organizations, for the strict purpose of artificially inflating market values for highest profits on resale. Once again, profits over people in the USA.
The US is already extremely authoritarian. That is exactly why the party in power fights so hard to remain in power. If there were no benefits to being THE authority, then there would be no authoritarianism.
