Is friending a guy on Facebook after talking to him once creepy?

Okay so there's this guy in one of my classes who I find attractive. I finally spoke to him on Thursday and am debating adding him on Facebook. My problem is, I'm scared if he rejects my friend request and that things will be awkward when I see him (especially since he's in one of my classes). Another thing is I'm scared if I come across as creepy. I purposely friend requested other people from my class to make it seem like I'm adding everyone. Should I add him or wait a little longer?

Adding someone on Facebook is not the same thing as asking them on a date all of a sudden. If a girl added me on Facebook after I talked to her once I would think: "heeey, that's that girl. She was nice. I'll accept". Even if I wasn't interested the first time I saw, I wouldn't find her creepy.

I think you should go for it! Especially since you started to add other people as a cover :P

I've had this same problem too. I also talked to a girl I liked once and decided to add her. After a week, no reply. I was devastated. I was thinking "she doesn't like me, she thinks I'm a stalker etc etc." A while later I sent her a mail (school related) and asked her about it. She told me she did not spend a lot of time online and that she did not notice my invite. She gave me her MSN, which was awesome :P

almost nothing is creepy on Fb.

i mean, people have hundreds of friends on there. how can anyone seriously have hundreds of friends?

they can't, they're just strangers, random people who got added with a minimally reasonable excuse.

so if having strangers on there isn't creepy, then adding a guy you talked to at least once isn't either.

haha well you could just send a message along with the request. a request by itself wouldn't work as well. don't lie tho, or come up with excuses. just be honest.

also, you're a girl initiating this, that alone is a plus. most guys love it when girls talk to them first.

so he'll probably be flattered and accept.

i've ended up becoming better friends with girls who admitted they started talking to me because they thought I was cute.

so maybe just let him know.

This would not be creepy, but I would advise waiting a bit and talking to him more in person. You want him to learn about you from you, not a newsfeed.

Just for the record, a creepy Facebook add would be something like adding the guy you talked to for 10 minutes at an airport coffee shop while each waiting for separate flights and exchanged nothing but first names and where you were each going.
