Older people give you compliments? How do you take the compliment?

If an older man or an older woman were to comment on how you look and say you look good or pretty would you take the compliment? It's not like they have to be nice and compliment you so I guess they are being serious...How do you take a compliment that an older person gives you?

I work around old people all the time and let me tell ya... some of these folks say things that make me feel like a rockstar (even though I'm far from it). This comes from both elderly men and women. It really means a lot even though some of them are just being nice. They've seen it all.

I'm feeling confidence I haven't felt in YEARS... it carries over to all aspects of my life. I've even managed to get back in the game and start asking for numbers. One has potential so we'll see hownit goes.

When I get a compliment from anyone, in my head I am thinking "Of course! Why doesn't everyone realize just how amazing I really am!" But all I do is just smile and say "Thank you." ;-)

I honestly take it less seriously as I would if someone my own age were giving me the same compliment. It other words, a compliment from someone who's a lot older than me means less to me than if it were coming from someone who was the same age

Haha um...like I would take a compliment from anyone else..? Very flattered and humbled. Unless of course it's a toddler saying I'm a "pretty poopyhead"...that I would be wary of.
