I would kind of rather die than fail a college class!!!

Is that a problem? I am a science major and as you know every class is on a track. I didn't become a science major until my 2nd year of college so I am already a year behind. Failing a class would be the biggest humiliation ever. I don't want to spend a summer away from home, but I also don't want to drop out. I don't wan to be ANOTHER year behind. That would be so embarrassing. Idk. I haven't gotten my final grades back but I have a feeling they're right on the edge. I guess I know theoretically that it's not worth a life... but I don't know how I would feel in the future knowing I didn't pass a class in college. blah. I wouldn't want anyone to know. it's so shameful.

I know - many people at the school or studies are very nervous because of deadlines, pressure and moronic professors.

The point is that.. there is no point about worrying something insignificant. Maybe a class seems "important" at first but when you see this in (my) perspective (comparing it to your life) it really actually isn't.

And right now you worry about something that may never actually happen.

You'll survive. Albert Einstein regularly had to take courses over again from time to time. Not all concepts stick the first time, some are very challenging, and sometimes the professors are not the greatest at conveying concepts the way you are use to learning them. =) If you happen to fail a course, you can add it to your course load the following semester. You should already know a great deal about it and it should be easier to manage the next semester. How far along are you? What course are you concerned you may have failed?

Thanks. I hope I don't fail. It's an embryology class. It's only offered once a year... so I'd have to fall another year behind :( It's part of my major too.

Well wait to see what happens when grades are posted. If you fail, try and try again. =P You'll pass it eventually. Hopefully it's not a prerequisite to a bunch of other courses.

You're considering suicice because you may or may not fail a class. That's a really silly reason to think about it. It is not shameful at all, we all struggle in life, so what if you fail? You go and try again, and you pass. It not only shows you're determined, but you're brave enough to consider taking that risk again.

Yeah, it seems silly... but it seems like an okay alternative other than living with the shame. idk. I guess I'd talk to my parents boyfriend anything. blah. it just seems so detrimental to my mental health to fail.

haha well I still want to be a nurse... so giving up my major wouldn't really work out well haha. cumulative science finals are ridiculous. no other majors are as hard.

i was a biological sciences major (premed) now I'm nursing. you don't have to be a science major to be a nurse. I know nursing and science have different requirements. not sure how it works are your college though. nursing requirements are crazy! have to have a 3.8 gpa just to get accpeted at mine. hang in there and good luck
