Should I drop a class?

I got a bad score on the test. I was taking too long to catch up with the work. Is it better if I drop the class and pay financial aid back? Will they give me less money next semester?

It depends how much the test is worth for your final grade. Honestly, dropping should be your absolute last option if you know you can’t pass. Focus on trying to pass and even if you pass with like a 70, you can always retake it later and your new grade will overwrite the old one. Same exact cost it would take you to drop it and retake it as well. You lose nothing but gain more practice
