After you're out of college, do guys and girls not hang out alone? Why does hanging out change so much!?

I've noticed a weird shift in the way my friends and I interact... no more spontaneous get togethers, nothing crazy... we get dinner, or lunch, or coffee... and what I've also noticed is that guys and girls don't seem to hang out alone together. It has been so weird since I graduated. I feel like summer used to be so fun... now we do nothing. No one wants to do movie nights or stay up chatting or even have sleepovers!

The weirdest thing is that my guy friends now like to do REALLY big group activities whereas in hs we always hung out one on one. I don't really like big group gatherings, but maybe I'm the only one haha. Idk, the dynamics of hanging out are SO weird now. are guys afraid if they hang out with their girl (space) friends that something will happen between them?

In my opinion, it's because after college, when a guy and a girl hang out alone, it's because he is 1) seriously courting her or 2) seriously trying to get in her pants. 1) usually implies 2) anyway. So the sexual tension will always be there, and they have learned how to avoid it, which is by hanging out in groups. Group outings are usually more fun anyway.

hahaha oh gotcha. you really think that's it? huh, I guess I've always been so comfortable around them I never thought it was a problem! lol idk, I don't really like group outings that much. I'm much more of a one on one kind of person

Not really, it's just its normally fun to just be around the guys. But after college I would assume they mature and their priorities have changed.

Ah, so they aren't really looking for hookups anymore? I mean, I am just talking about guy friends right now. My guy friends think it's super awkward when I ask if we can hang out and do a movie night. It was never weird before.

oh, so it's a good thing, not a bad thing? lol but I liked movie and game nights. I guess I was worried it was a bad thing. I feel like the quality of so many of my friendships has gone down because all we do is eat and drink together ha ha we don't seem to do any activities together!

Nothing to worry about, my older cousins were in the same situation they're older than me, they just do different things with their friends now, like all meet up and go out for drinks, you know things like that and do guy things.
