Do you have to wear a mask to a masquerade ball?

My prom / farewell is in October, the 12th which is also mine and my boyfriends 10 month anniversary so I wanna look good, but it is a masquerade ball, the thing I wanna know is do you have to wear a mask ?

I'm asking because I don't like things covering my face or eyes as well as my boyfriend and I don't want to "masquerade" as something we are not and the teachers say that is it is compulsory to wear a mask

The theme of masquerades is wearing a mask. You can always get one on a stick and hold it up to your face for pictures and such but not have it on your face the entire night. As for heel- I shop on the Internet and there's DOZENS of shoe sites. Without knowing your dress color, heel size, and shoe styles you like I can't really make too many recommendations other than to Google it.

maybe you can help me, my dress is a "princess" look where it is like a corset from the chest to the waist and then it flows outwards until it touches the floor, according to my skin color I must either pick Pink, Purple, Midnight blue, Emerald green, Fuchsia, although my purse is gold so I don't really know now

Ya and there's half masks so your whole face isn't covered and it doesn't cover your eyes because you can still see through the masks

The definition of "Masquerade" does require you to wear a mask. Fortunately the typical mask just covers the eyes so you'll still be able to see your face

He hates the fact that he is hiding his face, I also hate the fact that I am hiding my face because we are true loves and we don't believe in covering our faces because we don't like the fact that we must hide who we truly are
