Do you think humans imprint on each other?

Pretty straight forward question, just going to put my input on this. I do believe, in my experience, humans imprint on each other. Maybe it's just attraction, some might even call it extremely superficial, but in my experience this sudden attraction upon meeting (only 2 in my life) formed an instantaneous,lifelong bond. I'd love to hear what others think, even if you disagree with me ^^

Don't know why people are talking about twilight, I haven't read/watched the series -_-

I believe in soul mates, but not love at first site. Twilight isn't based on real life. Sudden attraction can happen, and the way people carry themselves and dress does reflect their personality, but that doesn't mean you're meant for each other or soul mates, or however you define imprinting, it just means your attracted to a certain type of person.

I agree. I'm very selective about who I let into my life, who I consider real friends. Even if we don't stay in touch constantly, the feeling never changes. I lost one about two years ago, and it has never stopped aching. Meanwhile, people I'd had more contact with more recently or regularly have died or committed suicide, and I didn't even flinch.

@update: Imprinting was what the author of the Twilight series called thed way her version of werewolves pick mates and fall in love. It's hokey at best. Your question is good, though.

Yes I do there this guy I met 6 years ago we had lost touch I use to say and still do say I will marry that man one day and a few month ago he came back into my life neither of us forgot each other and still have the same feelings 4 each other we had back then :-)

Agree with the question, but slightly disagree with your input. Some people, like myself, grew up without bonds and can sever them almost instantly. Sure our hearts and mind don't agree often and we nearly kill ourselves with guilt, but it's how we grew up. One of the effects of having a rough childhood.

They definitely do. Although, mine turned sour. I try not to let it bother me. It just reminds to love myself the most and not to let someone else have a snug grip on my emotions. I still hope she's well though.

Yeah, trust me I know because I have. It is the best feeling in the world. You can't choose who to imprint on and once you do, it is for life. You become an guardian angel to that person, you care for that person more than you could ever care for yourself. You exclude your needs and put her above yours. That is how I feel about the person that I imprinted on.

Yes I believe we do not like on twilight tho but I do believe that imprinting is more like when someone leave there mark on your life somehow
